Altona Energy is setting the pace for developing an exciting
new energy and fuel source in South Australia: the Arckaringa Project
We
have a World Scale Energy Bank with many uses which are currently being
evaluated and prioritised
The Arckaringa Project will convert low-value
coal into feedstock to produce high-value hydrocarbons for fuel production
(such as clean burning diesel) and low-cost power generation
The Arckaringa
Project has the potential to demonstrate world-class Carbon
Capture and Storage (CCS), helping reduce the volume of global greenhouse gas emissions
The Arckaringa Project also has the potential to provide a managed,
sustained water supply to help unlock the parched northern regions of
South Australia for agricultural and industrial development
It is the
only project proposed for South Australia with this unique mix of positive
outcomes
Our Arckaringa Unincorporated Evaluation Joint Venture (AUEJV) with CNOOC-NEI,
a subsidiary of China National Offshore
Oil Corporation (CNOOC), is a
partnership in which both partners bring strengths to the table
Together with our partners, we have the means and the record
of accomplishment to turn the vision into reality.
